Report – Mountains on Stage Winter Edition 2018
70 cities, 11 countries, 56 000 spectators throughout Europe for this incredible 12th edition of Mountains on Stage! Thank you so much for the warm welcome we got in each city of the tour.
We look forward to seeing you in April for the Summer Edition!
For this Winter 2018 edition, we got to share with you 4 films : we flew over magnificent landscapes from all over the world with Jean-Baptiste Chandelier, we dreamed of ever higher challenges with Eva Walkner and Jackie Passo, we travelled to the heart of Pakistan with Thomas Delfino, Léo Taillefer and Zach Mills, and finally we climbed Everest with Kilian Jornet.
The evening started with a breathtaking demonstration of lightness and humour from paraglider Jean-Baptiste Chandelier, who took us on a journey to France, Portugal, South Africa and Brazil. A beautiful introduction with Weightless!
The show went on with the performance of Eva Walkner and Jackie Paaso in Evolution of Dreams. The two freeriders made an impressive film that culminates with the ascent and descent of the Eiger. Commitment and talent, successes and injuries and above all a great friendship between two of the world’s best freeriders.
Zabardast ! The third film took us to the heart of Pakistan for an incredible expedition to take over the Biacherahi Tower. The Audience Award of the 2018 Winter Edition directed by Jérôme Tanon shared with us the rich daily life of this intense trip featuring Thomas Delfino, Léo Taillefer, Zach Mills, Hélias Millerioux and Yannick Grazianni.
The team shared their passion with the audience on many dates of our tour. The public of Mountains on Stage could enjoy these moments of exchange.
Finally, we followed Kilian Jornet for the achievement of his project « Summit of my Life » with the film « Path to Everest ». A film that takes a look back at the career of a legendary athlete and his path towards alpinism, with his double ascent of Everest. An adventure of ups and downs, deep sadness and magnificent joy to conclude the evening with great emotions.
